I reached out hoping this would get fixed quickly, but the issue still hasn’t been resolved. At first I figured it just needed a little time, but after waiting and not seeing any real progress, it’s made me trust the support less.

The books themselves are solid, and I didn’t have any issues with the content. But compared to other sites I’ve used, the checkout and recurring billing info wasn’t as easy to spot. I had to click around and double-check what I was actually being charged for. It wasn’t a huge problem, just a little more confusing than it probably needs to be.

I tried using the site on my phone and it was just not very nice to deal with. The pages were loading slow, the menu was kind of all over the place, and I kept tapping around too much just to find normal basic things. After a while I got annoyed and didn’t even finish my order.

I was ready to place my order, but the checkout page just kept looping after I entered my card info. Then my discount code disappeared like it was never there. I tried again, same issue, and I gave up after that. For a first order, it really made me lose trust in the whole site.

I ordered these mainly because I liked that they were built around Christian values, and that part really did matter to me. At the same time, a few of the stories felt kind of forced, like the lesson had to fit no matter what, and I found myself feeling a little trapped between appreciating the message and wishing the writing flowed better.
My kids still read them, and I do think the heart behind the books is good. I just wish the stories felt more natural and less like they were pushing so hard to make a point. Overall, they’re fine, but not quite a 5-star pick for our family.

The books are nice, and my kids do actually read them. I guess, well, I just feel like the monthly price is a bit high for what we’re getting. It’s not bad or anything, I’m just not totally sure I’ll keep the subscription going.

I really thought my kids would get into these books, but they lost interest quickly. At first they seemed curious, but after a few pages their whole tone kind of shifted, and I could tell they were just waiting for it to be over.

The stories felt a bit forced to them, or at least that was the vibe I got from the way they kept asking if we could read something else. My youngest flipped through the pages, but it didn’t seem like he cared much about what was actually happening.

I’m sure these might work better for other families, but for us the engagement just wasn’t there. For the price, I was hoping they’d be more excited about them, so I probably wouldn’t buy them again.

My son keeps asking about the lion character, which surprised me a little. It’s not the most amazing character design I’ve ever seen, but apparently it did the job because he’s completely hooked

The pricing just didn’t feel fair for what you actually get. I left feeling like I overpaid, and what made it more frustrating was that nobody followed up afterward to check in or address anything. It just didn’t feel like great value or great service.

I ordered a few books and somehow one of them showed up as the wrong title, and another had a different cover than the one I picked. I tried to get it fixed, but I ended up waiting in the support queue way longer than I expected, which just made the whole thing more frustrating. It wasn’t a total disaster, but I needed these for my kids and was hoping they’d arrive correctly and on time. Definitely double-check your order when it comes in

It was decent, but I felt like some of the books were a little too mature for younger kids. I also expected a faster response when I had questions, so that part was a bit disappointing.

I don’t know, the authors just didn’t really click with me. The writing felt a bit forced at times, and it wasn’t quite my style. Maybe others connected with it more, but I just couldn’t get into it

I had to reach out to customer service about my order and they did eventually get back to me, and the answer was useful once it came through, but I was sitting there checking my email and wondering if I’d been forgotten because it took longer than I expected, so while it wasn’t a bad experience or anything, I definitely wish they were a bit quicker to respond.

I really thought we were going to like these, especially because I’ve been trying to find a few new books to keep by the couch for bedtime and those random quiet moments after dinner. But the stories felt rushed and kind of flat. The message was easy to understand, which is nice, but there just wasn’t enough of an actual plot to hold my kid’s attention. We got a few pages in and he was already asking to read something else. Maybe they’d work better for another family, but they just weren’t worth it for us.

We’ve ordered a few books from Brave Books, and overall they’ve been a good addition to our family reading time. The stories are simple, but they do get our kids asking questions, which I really appreciate. Some parts come across a little too obvious, but I still think it’s helpful to have books that encourage kids to think about right and wrong and just treating people with basic decency. Shipping was fine, and the experience was good overall. Not perfect, but definitely worthwhile.

My kids actually do learn from these books, so I’m happy with that part. I just wish my concerns had been taken a little more seriously, because I kind of felt dismissed when I brought them up.

Just a warning for anyone thinking of ordering, my delivery showed up way too late again. This wasn’t the first time, so I’m frustrated. If you need your order to arrive on time, I wouldn’t count on it.

This just wasn’t for me. Not my style, not my values, not something I’d choose again.

I don’t know why, but I was expecting the stories to feel more thoughtful and natural. Instead, the moral lessons came across kind of preachy and flat. My kid got bored quickly, so it just didn’t really work for us.
